Abstract
This study, conducted by the National Observatory on Family Homicides (ONOF) of AIPC and CIPR, analyzes family crimes that occurred in the week of November 6-12, 2025. The analysis is based on the integrated scientific protocol A.I.P.C. Scientific Violence Screening (ASVS), a specific assessment for risk evaluation applied to those who have experienced, committed, or witnessed violent conduct. In the reference week, 3 homicides and 5 attempted homicides were identified. A statistically anomalous and significant finding emerges: 100% of the homicide victims are male. Simultaneously, the profile of the homicide perpetrator consolidates around an "80% profile": Male (80%), aged 18-35 (80%), who kills Acquaintances (80%). The objective of this paper is to analyze these profiles to understand the underlying dynamics and inform prevention interventions.
Introduction
The analysis of family crimes, conducted weekly by the Italian Association of Psychology and Criminology (AIPC), is based on an OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) data collection methodology. The analyzed data, in fact, do not come from direct institutional sources but are derived from news cases reported by journalistic outlets. This methodology allows for constant, real-time monitoring of the phenomenon. "Family crimes" (delitti familiari) are defined as homicides, attempted homicides, and suicides (or attempted suicides) that occur within relationships defined by a "degree of familiarity." This latter concept, central to the AIPC analysis, includes a broad spectrum of relationships: from kinship to affective-romantic relationships (current or past), to colleagueship, friendship, and simple acquaintance. The goal is to detect the true scope of the crime, often rooted in complex relational dynamics.

The homicide victim profile (November 6-12, 2025)
The analysis of the 3 homicide cases from the week reveals a victim profile that is totally atypical compared to the prevailing media narrative, but consistent with AIPC data indicating that men are the prevalent victims of family homicides committed by relatives or acquaintances.
- Gender: The most striking finding is that 100% of the homicide victims are Men (3 out of 3). No women were among the homicide victims this week.
- Age: No prevalent age group emerges. Victims are uniformly distributed across the 0-17 years (1 male, 33%), 18-35 years (1 male, 33%), and 54-71 years (1 male, 34%) ranges.
- Familiarity with the perpetrator: The typical profile indicates the victim knows their perpetrator. In 67% of cases (2 victims), they were Acquaintances. In the remaining 33% (1 victim), it was a Relative.
- Weapon Used: The prevalent weapon is a Bladed Weapon, used in 67% of cases (2 victims).
- Geographic Distribution: The phenomenon appears uniformly distributed across the national territory, with 33% of cases in the North, 33% in the Center, and 33% in the South and Islands.

The homicide perpetrator profile (November 6-12, 2025)
The analysis of the 5 alleged or confessed perpetrators of homicide outlines an extremely specific perpetrator profile, which we have defined as the "80% Profile."
- Gender: 80% of the perpetrators are men (4 out of 5). The remaining 20% is a woman (1 out of 5).
- Age: The age data is clear. 80% of the perpetrators (all 4 men) belong to the 18-35 age group. The sole female perpetrator falls into the 54-71 age group.
- Familiarity with the Victim: 80% of the perpetrators (the 4 men) killed Acquaintances. The female perpetrator (20%) killed a Relative.
- Weapon Used: A gender difference emerges in the choice of weapon. The male perpetrators predominantly used Physical Assault (75% of male cases). The female perpetrator used a Bladed Weapon (100% of female cases).
- Geographic Distribution: 60% of the cases are concentrated in the Center (3 men).
Summary of the typical perpetrator profile: The homicide perpetrator this week is a Man (80%), young (18-35 years, 80%), who kills Acquaintances (80%) in Central Italy (60%) through Physical Assault (75%).
Correlation with the Previous Week (October 30 - November 5, 2025)
For a complete diachronic analysis, it would be necessary to correlate the data that emerged with those from the immediately preceding week (October 30 - November 5, 2025). However, such data is not available in the provided context or in the stored information. It is therefore not possible, at this time, to determine whether the emerged profiles—particularly the absolute predominance of male victims (100%) and the high incidence of young perpetrators (80% between 18-35 years)—represent a continuing trend from the previous week or constitute an isolated and anomalous statistical spike.
Conclusions
The analysis of the week of November 6-12, 2025, demands deep reflection, which must go beyond the emergency-focused and often distorted reading of the family crime phenomenon. The finding of 100% male homicide victims and the simultaneous emergence of such a distinct perpetrator profile (the "80% profile")—young, male, acting against acquaintances through physical violence—suggest the need to investigate the relational, social, and psychopathological dynamics that underlie these conflicts.
These numbers are not just statistics; they represent tragedies that scientific intervention could have prevented. The A.S.V.S. (AIPC Scientific Violence Screening) protocol, which integrates clinical interviews, psychophysiological evaluation, and pathways based on psychotraumatology and sensorimotor therapy, was structured precisely to intercept these risk signals.
Violence is not a destiny, but the outcome of a failure in conflict regulation. Only through scientific assessment and the abandonment of ideological interpretations can we hope to understand and, finally, counter violence in a circular manner, addressing victims, perpetrators, and witnesses.
