Christmas Night
It is Christmas night. The lights go out in the cities; silence descends upon the houses, the deserted streets, and suspended lives. Together, we have journeyed through seventeen stories of fear, pain, and anxiety—but also of possibility. We have looked into the darkness of trauma and glimpsed the light of scientific awareness.
The most precious gift you can give yourself tonight is not found under the tree, wrapped in shiny paper. It is a solemn and irrevocable promise to yourself: the promise to no longer ignore the signals your body sends you. To no longer accept relationships that make your soul wither. To ask for help if you feel you cannot make it alone. Healing exists; it is real and measurable. Serenity is a right conquered one step at a time, one breath at a time.
